Position Available: Residential Counselor
Hours: 3:00PM – 11:30PM,Tuesday thru Saturday

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors Degree in Behavioral Health or related field. Must have Illinois Certification in substance abuse or become certified within two years of working in the chemical dependency field; plus one or more years experience in behavioral health or chemical dependency preferred.  Must have a thorough knowledge of the disease of alcoholism/addiction and its application to patient care.  Must have valid drivers license and minimal auto insurance.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Good organizational skills, ability to use logical thinking to solve problems.  Good short-term memory, good verbal communication skills, ability to provide and follow effective written and verbal instructions.  Ability to effectively monitor and develop subordinates when applicable.  Ability to successfully complete training and perform C.P.R.  Ability to perform light physical work exerting up to ten pounds of force on an occasional basis.  Sitting, standing, and walking short distances are activities that the Residential Counselor must perform.

Hours: 1:30PM – 9:30PM, Monday thru Friday

Bachelor Degree in Behavioral Health or related field (Master’s Degree preferred). CADC or LPC required. Work experience of three years in the field of Behavioral Health, with a minimum of two years working with Chemical Dependency. Excellent working knowledge of evidence based treatments. Ability to engage patients; excellent documentation skills. Must have thorough knowledge of the disease model of alcoholism/addition and its application to patient care. Experience working with ECR (electronic clinical records) a plus.  Must have valid drivers license and minimal auto insurance.

Position Available:  Senior Assessment Counselor  – Bilingual a Plus
Hours: 9:00AM – 5:00PM, Monday thru Friday

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree (Masters preferred) in Behavioral Health or related field and CADC or LPC preferred.  Or become certified within two years.  Must have a thorough knowledge of the disease model of Substance Use Disorders (SUD’s) and its application to patient care required. Must have ability to screen and assess patient’s SUD appropriately and in a timely manner.  Good working knowledge of the ASAM criteria a must.  Experience with Electronic Clinical Records a plus. Ability to communicate well with people.  Must have valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and minimal auto insurance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree in Counseling, Addictions, Social Work or related field.  Must have CADC or LPC (LCPC/LCSW preferred).  A minimum of three years’ experience in chemical dependency and mental health. Two years supervisory experience required; must be able to effectively and competently supervise staff and overall treatment of patients; must have medical experience and knowledge to recognize the signs and symptoms of serious or potentially threatening illnesses or behaviors.  Must have experience with evidence based strategies such as cognitive behavioral therapy, contingency management, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed therapy, etc. Experience with electronic health records a plus.  A valid driver’s license and minimal auto insurance required.
