  • Possess at least a High School diploma or equivalent
  • Be in recovery and abstinent from alcohol and other substances for at least 18 months prior to application and maintain abstinence from alcohol and other substances during employment
  • Willing to identify as a person in recovery, to share personal story, and to be a model of recovery for clients
  • Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) qualification in the state of Illinois preferred
  • Working knowledge of Motivational Interviewing techniques and application a plus
  • Experience facilitating peer recovery group sessions a plus
  • Familiar with 12-step model of addiction recovery
  • Willing to work with individuals undergoing Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)
