Assistant Financial Specialist (part-time)
HOURS: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma with two years’ experience with a work history utilizing basic computer skills. Must have knowledge of the computer software that is required to perform assigned job duties such as Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word. Must have valid driver’s license.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Excellent oral and written communication skills.  Good short-term memory, good hearing, and visual acuity sufficient to accomplish job responsibilities.  Ability to work with a computer for several hours at a time.  Good hand dexterity sufficient to operate office equipment.   Excellent organizational skills.   Ability to perform light physical work, exerting up to ten (10) pounds of force on an occasional basis.  Sitting, standing, walking short distance are activities that the Assistant Financial Specialist must perform.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors or Masters Degree in Behavioral Health or related field. Must have Illinois Certification in substance abuse or become certified within two years of working in the chemical dependency field; plus one or more years experience in behavioral health or chemical dependency preferred.  Must have a thorough knowledge of the disease of alcoholism/addiction and its application to patient care.  Must have valid drivers license and minimal auto insurance.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Good organizational skills, ability to use logical thinking to solve problems.  Good short-term memory, good verbal communication skills, ability to provide and follow effective written and verbal instructions.  Ability to effectively monitor and develop subordinates when applicable.  Ability to successfully complete training and perform C.P.R.  Ability to perform light physical work exerting up to ten pounds of force on an occasional basis.  Sitting, standing and walking short distances are activities that the Residential Addiction Counselor must perform.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s degree in Counseling, Addictions, Social Work or related field.  Must have CADC or LPC (LCPC/LCSW preferred).  A minimum of three years’ experience in chemical dependency and mental health. Must have two years supervisory experience required; must be able to effectively and competently supervise staff and overall treatment of patients; must have medical experience and knowledge to recognize the signs and symptoms of serious or potentially threatening illnesses or behaviors.  Must have experience in completing substance abuse and mental health assessments.  Experience with electronic medical records a plus.  A valid driver’s license and minimal auto insurance required.

Master’s degree in Counseling, Addictions, Social Work or related field.  Must have CADC or LPC (LCPC/LCSW preferred).  A minimum of three years’ experience in chemical dependency and mental health. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Masters’ Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related field*; and two years of supervised work experience in Mental Health.  LCPC or LCSW required with State of Illinois Licensure.  Excellent working knowledge of evidence based treatments for substance abuse and mental health conditions. Must have valid driver’s license and auto insurance. Must pass background clearance check.

Under the administrative supervision of a Program Director, works effectively as a team leader, interfacing with patients, mental health counselors, consulting psychiatrist and medical director in providing treatment for individuals.   Provide integrated treatment, if necessary for individuals with mental disorders and substance use disorders both as a team leader and counselor.   Is able to complete a quick and accurate differential assessment of mental health and substance abuse conditions.  Ability to implement and train staff with effective evidence based modalities for treating mental illness.  Assist treatment care teams in managing patients with mental health problems.   Has “on call” responsibilities.  Assesses patients’ mental status through interviews and observations, develop treatment plans and make referrals to the appropriate level of care.    Provides education, individual and group counseling to assigned patients and maintains case records according to standards.  Coordinates efforts with referral agencies.  Establishes and maintains community referral network with local civic and community based service providers. Provides clinical supervision to QMHP staff.

Experience with Electronic Health Records a plus.  Must have valid driver’s license and minimal auto insurance.

A good working knowledge of evidence based treatment practices for Substance Use Disorders and Mental Health conditions is required.  Person must be in recovery from Substance Use Disorder or Mental Health condition.  Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) a plus.  Person must be willing to travel using company vehicle to meet with the patient, which may include their home etc.   Person must be willing to acquire additional licenses as mandated by public and commercial payers. Must have valid driver’s license and minimal auto insurance.

Experience with electronic Clinical Record and a plus.  Must have a valid driver’s license and minimal auto insurance.
