Clinical Specialist

Clinical Specialist:

8:00am – 4:00pm Monday-Friday

Qualifications:

Masters’ Degree in Behavioral Health or related field preferred. CADC or LPC preferred; plus one year of experience in Behavioral Health or Chemical Dependency programs. Must have thorough knowledge of the disease of alcoholism/addiction and its application to patient care. A good working knowledge of evidence based treatment practices for Substance Use Disorders and Mental Health conditions is important. Person must be in recovery from Substance Use Disorder or Mental Health condition. Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) a plus. Person must be willing to travel, using of company vehicle to meet with the patient, which may include their home etc. Recovery Coach Certification is preferred. Must have valid driver’s license and minimal auto insurance.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

Good organization skills, ability to use logical thinking to solve problems. Good short-term memory, verbal communication skills, ability to provide and follow effectively written and verbal instructions. Ability to effectively monitor and develop subordinates when applicable. Ability to successfully complete training and perform C.P.R. Ability to perform light physical work exerting up to ten (10) pounds of force on an occasional basis. Good driving record and driving skills required. Sitting, standing, walking short distances are activities that the Clinical Specialist must perform.

Senior Assessment Counselor

Senior Assessment Counselor I:

(11:00am – 7:00pm shift, Mon – Fri.)

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree (Masters preferred) in Behavioral Health or related field and CADC or LPC preferred. Or become certified within two years. Must have a thorough knowledge of the disease model of Substance Use Disorders (SUD’s) and its application to patient care required. Must have ability to screen and assess patient’s SUD appropriately and in a timely manner. Good working knowledge of the ASAM criteria a must. Experience with Electronic Clinical Records a plus. Ability to communicate well with people. Must have valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and minimal auto insurance.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Good organizational skills, ability to use logical thinking to solve problems. Good verbal and communications and writing skills. Ability to provide and follow effective written and verbal instructions and good short-term memory. Ability to perform C.P.R. Ability to perform light physical work exerting up to ten (10) pounds of force on an occasional basis. Sitting, standing, walking short distances are activities that the Senior Addiction Counselor I must perform.

Residential Counselor-North:

Tuesday-Saturday 3:00am – 11:30pm

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors or Masters Degree in Behavioral Health or related field. Must have Illinois Certification in substance abuse or become certified within two years of working in the chemical dependency field; plus one or more years experience in behavioral health or chemical dependency preferred. Must have a thorough knowledge of the disease of alcoholism/addiction and its application to patient care. Must have valid drivers license and minimal auto insurance.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Good organizational skills, ability to use logical thinking to solve problems. Dual Diagnosis Specialist:

Tuesday-Saturday Hours: 3:00pm to 11:30pm

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field, plus one year of supervised work experience in the field of Addictions and Mental Health preferred. Must have CADC, LPC (LCPC/LCSW preferred) and a thorough knowledge of Substance Abuse and co-occurring disorders and its application to patient care is required. Ability to complete a quick and accurate differential assessment of mental health and substance abuse conditions required. Must have experience with evidence based modalities for treating co-occurring illness. Experience with Electronic Health Records a plus. Must have valid driver’s license and minimal auto insurance.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Good short-term memory, verbal communication skills, ability to provide and follow effective written and verbal instructions. Good documentation skills required. Ability to effectively monitor and develop subordinates when applicable. Ability to successfully complete training and perform C.P.R. Ability to perform light physical work exerting up to ten (10) pounds of force on an occasional basis. Sitting, standing, walking short distances and climbing stairs are activities that the Dual Diagnosis Specialist must perform.
